Abstract:
A macrokinetic model of a liquid-phase Fischer-Tropsch reaction on a cobalt-containing catalyst is discussed. By statistical processing of published experimental data (T = 533 K, P = 2.0 MPa) relations are obtained describing the rates of formation of individual saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons to C40 inclusive, and reaction rate constants are determined. The proposed kinetic model is an important constituent of a mathematical model of a reactor for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in liquid phase on a suspended catalyst.
