Abstract:
The morphology and formation of carbon deposition products on a massive silver catalyst in partial oxidation of monoatomic C-2-C-4 alcohols and ethylene glycol were studied gravimetrically and by scanning electron microscopy. The structure and reactivity of the alcohols were shown to be related to the structure of carbon-containing deposits formed in their oxidation.
