Abstract:
The 119Sn and 19F NMR chemical shifts in alkali-metal hexafluorostannates are measured. Data of MAS-spectroscopy and ab initio calculations reveal that [SnF6]2– has a distorted structure due to intramolecular electron correlation interactions in this anion.
