Abstract:
EXAFS spectroscopy was applied to investigate the local intercalate structure in ferrocene-fluorographite. The EXAFS of the Fe K edge reveals a decrease of the intramolecular Fe-C bond length. This is attributed to interlayer compression of the ferrocene molecules by the fluorographite layers.
