Abstract:
Isosteric adsorption heats of acetonitrile on Ca-, Mn-, Co-, Ni- and CrY zeolites have been estimated using high-temperature IR spectroscopy. As the coverage was increased, the adsorption heat decreased from 120-170 kJ/mol to
45-80 kJ/mol whereas vCN remained constant for each type of cations. It is concluded that vCN cannot be used as a
criterion for the estimation of the strength of aprotic centers
