Abstract:
The mechanism of hydrogen isotope exchange in aqueous alkaline solutions (AAS) of D2 has been studied using Interacting Bonds Method (IBM) data obtained for hydrogen interaction with the molecular ion H3O2−. Models for the activated and metastable intermediate complexes are described.
