Abstract:
Adsorption of C6H12 and C6D12 at 290–673 K over Ti−Sb−O catalysts has been studied by using infra-red Fourier spectroscopy. Besides a slightly perturbed complex of cyclohexane, one with a strong shift of ν C-H (D-C) towards low frequencies has been found, which indicates strong perturbation of the C-H bond in cyclohexane. Without gas-phase oxygen no dissociative forms of cyclohexane adsorption have been observed.
