Abstract:
Research of the structure of microbial communities of salt lakes from Novosibirsk and Altai regions have shown that salinity and pH were the key factors in determining the composition of the microbial communities. Communities that were investigated represent an interesting example of a diverse communities of halophilic bacteria, archaea, cyanobacteria and algae well adapted to a broad salinity range.
