Abstract:
The possibility to obtain zirconium-substituted apatite by means of mechanochemical synthesis was studied. It was established that zirconium oxide or hydroxide can be used as the source of zirconium for this synthesis. It is preferable to use zirconium hydroxide because the major part of oxide remains in the initial state. In the case of hydroxide, the intermediate phase of double oxide is formed, promoting further synthesis.
