Catalyst with increased mech. strength and activity was obtained by mixing solns. or suspensions of V and Te compds. with TiO2 powder, dried at 65-80° to 25 ± 5% moisture content, granulated, dried at 65-80° to 12 ± 2% moisure content, and calcined at 550-750°.
