Реферат:
The comparative analysis of experimental data over titanium dioxide powders prepared by various ways under ambient air and investigated in conditions close to those of the real troposphere is carried out. The results over TiO2 prepared by high-temperature heating of anatase, produced by burning of titanium micro particles and grinding of rutile crystal are used for that comparison.
It is shown that Earth’s atmosphere ecology can be keep in safe level in the result of photocatalytic and photoadsorption processes proceeding on aerosol particle surface under troposphere solar irradiation. And what is more, it is possibly to clean the atmosphere near a pollution source by the production of titania aerosol in direct place of a contamination.
The conception of oxidative photocatalysis as nature phenomenon are developed. According to that: photocatalytic reaction proceed only under light quanta from the fundamental absorption band of photocatalyst; oxygen photoadsorption is not an limiting step of photocatalytic oxidation reaction; photocatalytic activity is only inherent in metal oxides, the top level of whose valence band is formed by 2p - orbital of oxygen; during of photocatalytic oxidation reaction the oxidized gas-phase molecule interacts with surface lattice oxygen at the moment of its discharge by a free mobile hole. The quantum efficiency of photocatalytic reaction mainly depends upon the bond energy of surface lattice oxygen; the quantum yield is also determined by physicochemical characteristics of photocatalysts. In agreement with the proposed mechanism the photocatalytic oxidation reaction does not require an active surface center.
