Abstract:
The influence of diffusion of intermediate adsorbed species (spillover) from one part of the heterophase surface to another on the reaction kinetics is considered in the general form. A synergistic effect is possible for the catalyst, the surface of which is divided into parts of two areas, s(1) and s(2), which are characterized by the heats of adsorption q(1) < q(opt) and q(2) > q(opt), respectively.
