Abstract:
Specific features of a new process for preparing spherical granules of active alumina are considered. The process was developed on the basis of a detailed study of physicochemical properties of products of fast dehydration of aluminum trihydroxide. Characteristics of the environmentally clean technology developed for the first time in Russia for production of s pherical alumina catalyst for the Claus process are discussed.
