Abstract:
The heats of adsorption of hydrogen from gas phase on porous nickel have been found in a large range of degrees of surface filling and adsorbate partial pressures by the adsorption-calorimetry technique. Porous nickel has been shown to be identical to Raney nickel in a structure of active surface and to be different from nickel black and supported catalysts in adsorption properties. It has been found that a hydrogen adsorption was failed to be described in the whole range of degrees of filling by means of the known equations of the iso-therms of adsorption at solid surfaces.
