Abstract:
Using the liquid phase reaction 2NO + H2S + 2O2→ 2HNO3 +S in the presence of heteropolyanion catalyst PW11Fe11(H2O)O5−39, the potentialities of the membrane method in separation of a homogeneous catalyst from a soluble reaction product have been demonstrated. The use of membranes for this purpose is expected to give a further impact for the search of industrial processes based on homogeneous catalysis.
