Abstract:
Alumina fluid bed methane dimerization catalyst was modified by impregnation with La, Ce, and Mg nitrates, or SO2 sol in order to improve the granule mech. strength. The modified spherical alumina properties depended on the method of introduction of the modifying agents. Comparison f the efficiency of La2O3, CeO2, and SiO2 showed that up to 1100° the best additive is La2O3, and the SiO2 promoter is the most effective at 1200°.
