Abstract:
The commonly adopted impregnation process is based more on empirical than analytical or experimental data. The main apparatus requirement for this technology, i.e., reproducing laboratory methods on a large scale, cannot generally be implemented in practice. The technical level of industrial catalysts is invariably inferior to the quality of laboratory specimens. This work describes an industrial process which can reproduce the quality of laboratory specimens to a greater extent. Further, when developing new catalysts, this process often provides better results on a research scale compared to the present methods.
