Abstract:
The structure of active sites in supported Pd catalysts for complete oxidation (0.3 - 0.4 wt % Pd) was studied by the EXAFS method. Both fresh samples and catalysts having reached steady-state activity in butane oxidation were investigated. It was shown that the catalytic activity of Pd/La-Al2O3 correlated with the Pd-Pd distance in the oxide structure of an active center.
