Abstract:
Photocatalytic decomposition of H2S was studied on CdS, SnS2 and ZnS immobilized on a cation-exchange polymer film MF-4SK and activated with Pd or Pt. At λ = 436 nm, Na2S concentration in the system 10-2 mol/L and pH 10 the quantum yield of H2 (φH) generation equaled for CdS, CdS-Pt, CdS-Pd, CdS-ZnS, and SnS2, 0.09, 3, 1.5, 0.09 and 0.0003%, resp. At Na2S 10-4 mol/L φH reached 9.5% for CdS-Pt system, which also exhibited stable photocatalytic activity for >100 h.
