Abstract:
The distribution of coke in gamma -Al2O3 granules with a bidispersed structure has been investigated. It has been shown that an increase in the coking temperature leads to an increase in the density of the coke formed; the character of the distribution is governed by kinetic factors. The coke is first deposited on the external surface of aggregates and in the largest macropores, then in the zone near the surface in the body of the aggregates. A procedure is proposed for the investigation, based on the comparative analysis of the mercury injection and extrusion curves.
