Abstract:
3C NMR studies of 4′-R-dibenzo-18-crown-6 and 4′-R-dibenzo-24-crown-8 showed that the substituent influence is transferred through the macrocycle to a remote aromatic ring. The transfer is due to steric effects and depends on crown ether complex formation.
