Abstract:
Disproportionation of methanethiol catalyzed by Na+/γ−Al2O3 has been studied. On the basis of the postulated mechanism a kinetic description for the formation of dimethyl sulfide in the presence of γ−Al2O3 with various contents of sodium ions is suggested.
