Abstract:
Upon decreasing the average size and crystallinity of supported tungsten (molybdenum) disulfide particles, the catalyst's ability to hydrogenate thiophene to tetrahydrothiophene increases. Particle dispersity increases if thiocomplexes deposited from aqueous solutions decompose on the inert support surface.
