Abstract:
In the presence of Cr ions in Ca phosphate, whitlockite (I) formed on heating at 850°. Thus-formed I retained the HPO42- groups. I forms in the presence of Ni ions at 600-650° and when heated at 800° it becomes dehydrogenated. When I was heated in steam, Cr ions were displaced from the crystal lattice of I. When Ca phoshates containing Ni ions are heated in H2O, thus formed I contained a higher Ni ion concentration than I formed in anhyd. conditions.
