Abstract:
Independent of the initial distribution of V and K in a freshly prepared. V catalyst (V2O5 10, K2O 10.6, SO3 9.4, and SiO2
70 wt. %) for SO2 oxidation, a treatment at 500° results in a uniform distribution of these metals. The distribution was studied by using a 1 μ-diam. electron beam for excitation of x-ray emission (electron-probe method) from porous granulated catalyst samples.
