In our previous studies [1] of the X-ray absorption spectra of copper in polychelates of the 2 (S, S) type, it was found that their fine structure dependent on the type of organic radical added to the polychelate main chain. This opens up the possibility of using absorption spectra to study the hybridization of σ-electrons, which are the link between the central metal atoms and the ligands inside the chelate unit, and the processes of π-electron delocalization over a system of conjugate bonds in polymer molecules. The present work aimed at extended these studies.
