Abstract:
The initial rates of catalyst reduction with hydrogen in the steady state and the kinetic isotope effect (KIE) have been measured for hydrogen oxidation on a series of binary oxide catalysts based on α-alumina, Al2−xMexO3, where 0≤x≤2 and Me=Cr, Fe, Ga, La. Experimental evidence has been obtained in support of two different mechanisms in the high and low-temperature regions.
