Abstract:
Preparation of dispersed cobalt-containing industrial catalysts with spinel structure-cobaltites of cobalt, nickel, zinc, magnesium, manganese, copper, and clcium were prepared by thermal decomposition of mixtures of nitrates of cobalt and corresponding metal or by decomposition of jointly precipitated hydroxides; chemical, thermographic, infrared spectroscopic, and x-ray phase analyses showed that most of cobaltites are formed at temperature of approximately 350 C (calcium-cobalt and manganese- cobalt spinels are formed at higher temperatures); many of cobalt spinels decompose above certain temperature, characteristic for each spinel.
