Abstract:
A series of novel platinum(II) and platinum(IV) acetate-bridged heterometallic complexes was prepared by (1) one-step reaction of platinum acetate blue Pt(OOCMe)2.5–2.75 (PAB) with the complementary metal carboxylates in rather low (10–40%) yield and (2) two-step synthesis starting from potassium hexa(hydroxido)platinate(IV) in much higher (up to 90%) yield. The complexes were structurally characterized by single-crystal XRD and studied by quantum-chemical methods. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
