Abstract:
The present work is aimed at designing a CdS–TiO2 composite material with such a microstructure that
would prevent the contact of CdS with the reagents of photocatalytic reactions provoking its decomposition,
on the one hand, and would ensure high light absorption by CdS, on the other hand. In this work, isolated
CdS particles were introduced into the crystalline TiO2 matrix through a sol–gel route.
