Abstract:
In the framework of the thermodynamic approach we suggested the new algorithm for determination of excess energy for critical embryos. Offered algorithm was implemented for determination of excess energy for the critical embryos in the n-octanol - sulfur hexafluoride system nucleation. We found that the experimental excess energy of noctanol critical embryos are below the droplet model prediction. In the limit of the big embryo size the experimental results agree with the droplet model. It have been shown the linear dependence of the excess energy on the critical embryo volume. We concluded that the critical embryos might form the chain-like particles.
