In this work, we observed for the first time by means of UV-Vis diffuse reflectance (DR) spectroscopy that
Co2+ cations with a tetrahedral oxygen coordination ( ) are stabilized in HZSM-5 channels due to their
interaction with extraframework aluminum ions.
