Abstract:
The rearrangement of the uncoordinated allyl fragment of the complex carboxamide ligand in
(μ-H)Os3(CO)10(μ-OCNHCH2CH=CH2) (1) at room temperature has been observed. A migration of the terminal double bond to the α-position in 1 leads to the formation of four novel isomeric clusters (μ-H)Os3(CO)10(μ-OCNHCH=CHCH3) (2a-d). Based on IR and 1H NMR data, a conclusion has been made that the formation of isomers is attributed to the rotation of the ligand about the C=C and N=C(O) bonds.
