A Cu-exchanged catalyst Cu-ZSM-5 has been obtained via an environmentally friendly solid-phase synthesis. Its catalytic activity and adosorptive properties are compared with those of a catalyst prepared by the ion exchange from solution. The properties of the catalysts were found to be similar.
