Реферат:
The hydrodynamic modelling of a liquid in a cocurrent two-phase upflow packed bed reactor was examined. The dynamic response curves were interpreted using the piston dispersion exchange model. The results indicated that in the operating conditions studied, the axial Péclèt number is quite high, so that the dynamic characteristics of the liquid phase are affected mainly by the existence of stagnant zones and the exchange rate between these and the flowing liquid. As the flow rates of both fluids increased, the tail of the response curve became sluggish, probably due to an increase in the renewal time of the stagnant zones.
