Abstract:
Theoretical principles of preparation of carbon-mineral sorbents, supports, and highly selective catalysts of a novel class are discussed. These materials were prepared by decomposition of hydrocarbons on finely dispersed metal particles to form a coke coating. The process goes by the mechanism of carbide cycle.
