Abstract:
The effect of repulsive lateral interactions on adsorption and desorption rates is discussed in the framework of a lattice-gas model. The case is considered when nearest-neighbour repulsion is large in comparison with temperature, ε≫T. Comments on the paper by O. L. J. Gijzeman et al.(J. Chem. Soc., Faraday Trans. 2, 1984, 80, 771) are presented.
