Abstract:
Acrolein adsorption on a V-Mo-Si oxide catalyst at room temp. led to 3 surface complexes. The behavior of these complexes was studied as the temp. was increased to the temp. of catalysis. Acrylic acid was formed from an acrylate-type surface complex.
