Abstract:
The method of IR spectroscopy in conjunction with chromatographic analysis of the desorption products was used to study the adsorption of acrylic acid on oxide catalysts. It is shown that the direction of the conversion of the surface acrylates is determined by the strength of their bond to the surface and by the reactivity of the oxygen of the catalyst.
