Abstract:
The relationship between general approaches (the formulas of Darken, Reed, Ehrlich, and Kubo) to the description of the diffusion of particles adsorbed on a uniform surface is discussed. An analysis is given of the kinetics of a reaction limited by the diffusion of adsorbed particles toward reaction sites that include the dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the coverage.
