Abstract:
The kinetic studies of the gas-phase catalytic reaction of n-dodecanol with hydrogen sulfide have revealed a consecutive-parallel route. The product n-dodecanethiol partially decomposes yielding dodecene, and the alcohol is simultaneously dehydrated to olefin and di-n-dodecyl ether.
