Abstract:
According to 183W, 17O, and 31P and the cation nuclei NMR spectra, PW11O397- reacted with divalent metal ions in aq. solution to form MPW11O395- (M = Zn, Cd, Hg, Pb). The stability of these heteropolyanions increases from Pb to Zn. The lifetimes of cations in the complexes were detected from the 183W NMR spectra. In the presence of Cl-, [PW11O39CdCl]6- was formed.
