Abstract:
The state of PM12-nVnO30(3+n)- (HPA-n; M = Mo, W; n = 1-4) (I) and V(V) in HOAc-H2O was studied by 31P and 51V NMR. I (M = Mo; n > 1) is strongly protonated and dissociates with the loss of VO2+ and the formation of I with a smaller n value. VO2+ is coordinated to I with the formation of an outer-sphere complex.
