Abstract:
The authors consider the possibility of increasing the efficiency of a catalyst bed operating in adiabatic mode with periodic temperature variation in the original mixture. The effect of typical control parameters on the mean degree of conversion after a cycle is studied. A relationship between theoptimum control and the dynamic properties of a heterogeneous reactor is demonstrated.
