Abstract:
A treatment of Al2O3 by various acids (such as HNO3, HCl, H3BO3, H3PO4) prior to its baking at 400-1050° caused an inhibition of the γ-Al2O3 particle growth and of its polymorphous transition and resulted in an aggregation of the treated Al2O3 particles which caused a partial screening of the oxide surface.
