Abstract:
A review with 45 refs. on state of the art in direct conversion of solar energy into chem. energy or fuels via endo-energetic catalytic processes. Photocatalytic systems for splitting of H2O, H2S, etc.; thermochem. energy conversion systems, steam and CO2 reforming of CH4, org. hydrogenation-dehydrogenation, and NH3 and SO3 cycles; and applications of the systems are discussed.
