Abstract:
A review, with 32 refs., of solar energy conversion by photocatalytic cleavage of water into H and O in structurally organized mol. assemblies based on lipid vesicles. The potential of vesicle-based systems for accomplishing the closed-loop process of water cleavage under the action of sunlight are discussed.
