Abstract:
High-resolution transmission electron microscopic investigation of carbon nanoparticles produced in the arc discharge was carried out. A carbon deposit formed on the negative electrode in the condition of high temperature and electric field consists of multiwall chiral nanotubes. Condensation of carbon vapors leads to the synthesis of single-wall nanotubes having singular structure mainly.
