Abstract: A new catalytic reaction of the oxidation of aqueous solutions of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine (ADMH) in the presence of Cu-, Fe-, Co-, and Mn-containing catalysts of the hydroxide nature supported on oxide carriers is described. The Cu-containing samples proved to be the most active. The manner in which the pH value, temperature and the ratio of the catalyst sample to the solution volume affect the reaction rate is investigated. The main products of the reaction (hydrazones and formazane) are identified. The reaction is shown to occur via different mechanisms in the neutral and alkali media.
