Abstract:
The selective reduction of NO by propane was studied in kinetic and diffusion regimes over CuZSM-5 zeolite and the honeycomb monolith catalyst based on this zeolite. A mathematical model is proposed for the calculation of the reaction rate as a function of the temperature, space velocity of the gas, and NO concentration for the monoliths of various lengths with channels of different cross-sections. The reaction rate constant, the NO apparent diffusion coefficient and the mass-transfer coefficient were estimated.
